Description: We depart from Salta city to ascend the Quebrada de Escoipe (Escoipe Gorge) and then continue along the breathtaking Cuesta del Obispo (Bishop's Slope) to finally reach the Valle Encantado (Enchanting Valley), a lonely valley skirted by red mountains, immerse in wild flowers and safeguarded from the imposing birds of the region: the condors. (The enchanted Valley can be accessed only by 4-wheel drive vehicles).

Description: Departing early in the morning for a drive along the Humahuaca Gorge and its villages, this journey is a unique exhibition of the most diverse vegetation, which becomes more and more exhausted once we go past the foggy jungle. Only cacti seem to survive the commanding heights, populating the masterfully carved rock formations at the slope of the mountains.

Given its vast extension, this site is the third largest salt desert in the world. It is a unique visual experience and from all excursions, it is probably the most varied in terms of landscape.

Description: To access this site we will go through Campo Quijano along National Route 51, following a zigzag path parallel to the C-14 branch of the Train to the Clouds but sometimes coinciding at some points. (This train is temporarily out of service).
